Jennifer is a registered Social Worker and is a member of the College of Social Work.  Jennifer holds a Masters in Counselling and is a member of the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Consultants, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists.  Since 2003, she has been actively engaged in community agencies and private practice.  Jennifer has gained extensive experience in addictions, concurrent disorders (mental health issues & substance misuse), and codependency while working at a Mental Health and Addiction Centre.  Jennifer has also obtained experience working as a Mental Health Counsellor on a Family Health Team supporting a broad scope of clientele and has most recently provided therapy to ‘troubled youth’ and their families in a private school setting.

While working in private practice, Jennifer has assisted couples and families cope with relationship issues, establish healthy boundaries, and build effective communication skills.  She has also helped clients with mood/anxiety disorders and low self esteem reach achievable goals.   In addition, Jennifer has a special interest in supporting families cope with infertility as she has personally experienced this challenge and understands the emotional impact of this issue.  Jennifer was fortunate to give birth to twin girls in 2007 after experiencing a high risk pregnancy.  She also had a son in 2012. She now enjoys spending any spare time being active with her family.

Jennifer uses a client-centered and holistic approach while working with her clients to achieve optimal results.  She has been trained in various modalities such as cognitive behaviour therapy & motivational interviewing to help individuals reach their goals & enrich their lives with positive change. Through continuous professional development that has include training in narrative therapy and brief solution focused therapy, she strives to meet her client’s needs with sensitivity and compassion.

Stephane Sefter, B. Sc., M.A., R.P.,  supports individuals and couples to identify and understand their challenges, and to develop functional skills to deal with them effectively.

Stephane trained in Counselling at the University of Toronto and the Adler School, and uses a Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) approach in counselling: a shorter, solution-oriented therapy based on helping the client develop functional and effective coping skills.

June has worked in the field of Employee Assistance Programs for over 12 years. Prior to this, June worked with street youth, women in domestic violent situations and adults with mental health issues.

June’s focus in her current work is in the area of anxiety and depression as well as family and couple work. She also does workshops on stress management, parenting and eldercare issues for corporate clients.

June’s approach to counselling is to recognize the whole person which includes the emotional, cognitive, behavioural and relational aspects of your life as important components towards a greater quality of life. Elizabeth has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University majoring in Psychology.
