Born in Barrie, Ontario, as one of ten children, I embarked on my academic journey at Nipissing University where I earned my BA in Psychology and Criminology. Although my roots are in Barrie, I’ve spent my adult years living, working, and playing on the west coast of Vancouver Island. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and obtained my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Laurier University. My professional work has been centered around supporting children, youth, and families. I have been privileged to support them through various challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, loss, and interpersonal relationships.
My approach to community work is anchored in trauma-informed practice, holistic wellness, and an attachment-focused perspective.
