About Dalton Associates

Dalton Associates (DA) is a mental health services organization that was established in 1995 by Dr. Dan Dalton, C.Psych., in response to barriers he witnessed in people being able to access mental health and psychological support. Throughout the province of Ontario (with program expansions in Eastern and Western Canada), our organization provides specialized and quality assured mental health services that are culturally sensitive, safe, accessible, and timely. We are a relationship-focused organization and all of our programs and services have been developed through partnerships – each tailored to the populations with whom we work. All of our programs are developed by DA’s Clinical Leadership Team, which includes Registered Psychologists, Social Workers, and Psychotherapists, to ensure they are both clinically and administratively sound.

Our services include, but are not limited to, supporting clients by providing tailored psychological, behavioural and mental health services, access to specialized wrap-around mental health case management services, and customized mental health programming with partnering organizations for the populations they serve. We deliver this through our seven divisions, including:

  • General Counselling Services: Counselling/therapy for all ages, for individuals, couples and families, for a broad range of mental health challenges. Offered both in-person and virtually.
  • Rehabilitation Psychology: Psychological assessment, diagnosis and supervised psychological treatment for individuals who have experienced a motor vehicle accident (MVA), workplace injury (WSIB), etc.
  • Psychological Assessment Services: Broad range of psychological assessments, including psycho- educational assessments, psych-vocational assessments, diagnostic, cognitive/developmental, etc.
  • Launch Behavioural Health: Services for children and families affected by autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Offered in-person at the Launch clinic in Toronto, fly-in services for remote Indigenous communities, and virtually.
  • Customized Mental Health Programs: Mental health and wellness programs designed in partnership with organizations, government agencies, and communities; customized for specific populations and needs.

DA’s 150+ regulated clinicians are mental health professionals (Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social Workers, Behavioural Analysts, etc.), have degrees at the Masters or PhD-level, and are registered, in good standing, with a regulatory college. DA’s clinicians are carefully vetted and are subject to a strong Quality Assurance Program.  All referrals are made to DA clinicians except in unique circumstances, where DA works with the client to find a clinician that meets their unique needs.  Our clinical team currently serves over 5,500 individuals of any age, couples, families, and communities annually. Within Ontario, DA’s mental health services are available in over 75 Ontario cities and towns, and in over 25 languages, in-person and via PHIPA and PIPEDA-complaint, and secure videoconferencing platforms.

Within the Customized Mental Health Programs Division, DA works with organizations, businesses, agencies, and communities to develop and deliver customized mental health service programs to a diverse base of clients. Every program is specifically tailored to the population with whom we work to promote the best possible mental health and wellness outcomes; further customizing for every individual, couple, and family we serve.
