Frank practices counselling and therapy in Kitchener under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Frank was trained in Counselling at the Theological University of Kolozsvar (Romania), Bern University (Switzerland), Károli Gáspár Reformed University of Budapest (Hungary), Institute of Group Analysis (Budapest), Wilfrid Laurier University of Waterloo, Guelph University, and University of Toronto. He also earned a Ph.D. from the Institute of Theology and Christian Counselling (Texas, U.S.A). He has completed the AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy) program (including 1,000 clinical hours and 200+ hours of AAMFT supervision and all AAMFT required courses). He is a doctoral student at the University of Toronto in the area of Pastoral Counselling.
Frank has provided psychotherapy to help clients who are experiencing emotional change, through individual, family and group sessions, for over twenty years. Frank helps clients address a wide range of concerns, including Anger Management, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Ethnic-Minority Issues, Intimacy Problems, Religious Issues, Gender Identity, Self Esteem Issues, Sex Therpy, and Pre-Marital Counselling. During couple and family sessions, he focuses on each family member’s needs and helps them to learn listening skills and how to communicate with mutual respect and intimacy.
From 1995-1998, Frank also was employed as a teacher of education and student-parent counsellor at Reformed High School in Pápa (Hungary). Being immigrated twice, Frank therefore, brings a wealth of life experiences, adding much to his clinical knowledge. His training, years of experience and his continuing education helps him to work effectively with individuals, couples or groups. Frank is also able to integrate a Christian spiritual dimension with professional counselling. He is an ordained minister in Canada, married for 29 years and father of two children.
Frank is a CSAT candidate (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) under a IITAP supervisor (International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) seeing clients dealing with sex-addiction as well as people whose partners are considered sex-addicted.
Confidential counselling sessions are available in Kitchener and are offered on Mondays and Saturdays.
