Elizabeth Stoakley practices counselling and psychotherapy in St. Catharines under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Elizabeth is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
Elizabeth completed her BA in Psychology in 2002 after which she worked in health care and administration until 2007 when she began to practice psychotherapy and subsequently completed a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Her studies centred on the study of the brain and behaviour, with a focus on the effect of sleep loss on emotions.
Elizabeth has experience working with adolescents and adults. She uses a combination of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Biofeedback to address stress and anxiety-related difficulties, as well as insomnia. She has helped people cope with chronic pain and disability related to illness or injuries, including work injuries and motor vehicle accidents.
