Elizabeth Gauld is a Registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor who has been practicing for the last 12 years in the communities of Mississauga, Milton, Burlington, and Puslinch under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Elizabeth has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University majoring in Psychology. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Elizabeth provides psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals, adolescents, couples, and families. She offers individual counselling in the areas of anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, stress, grief/loss, substance abuse/addiction and personal growth. She also works in the rehabilitation area helping individuals cope and recover from trauma and pain. Elizabeth has over 15 years of business experience in the Human Resources field providing counselling and mentoring to employees and managers. This experience extends her counselling to areas such as career development, conflict management in the workplace, and leadership development.
She offers a variety of psychotherapy techniques to meet the needs of her clients. These include Cognitive Behavioural, Dialectical Behavioural, Behavioural, Interpersonal, Solutions-Based and Psychodynamic therapies – to name a few.
Elizabeth’s rich life experiences enable her to connect easily with clients from many diverse backgrounds.
