Karen offers Counselling/Psychotherapy services, as well as Supervised Psychological Counselling under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Psychological Associate.

Karen Cressman practices counselling and therapy in Guelph under her own licence and additionally under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Over the past eighteen years Karen has gained intensive counselling training and experience as a Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist, especially in the area of couples therapy. She also provides family counselling based on her twenty years of experience in the education system working with children with physical and learning disabilities as well as behavioural problems.

In this capacity, Karen has continued to counsel and support women and families. Karen has assisted clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, stress and trauma; with a focus on working with women experiencing relationship challenges, postpartum depression, parenting concerns and life transitions. This unique combination of training and work, as well her own life experiences, has contributed to the mature, empathic, and supportive presence Karen provides for her clients.

Karen received her MSW from Wilfrid Laurier University and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers.
